Cornerstone Housing for Women offers a wide range of residential services to assist homeless women seeking safe, affordable housing, healing and new opportunities.

Cornerstone has three thriving residential communities, two of which provide permanent and supportive housing for single adult women. In addition to the services provided at the Women’s Shelter, 515 MacLaren provides permanent supportive housing for twenty women and McPhail House offers transitional housing for six women living cooperatively.

Cornerstone’s services include help with goal planning, housing search, referrals, recreational & spiritual supports, safety planning, mental health supports, addictions supports, rent geared to income and crisis counseling.

In mid- 2011, a fourth residence will open to provide permanent safe, affordable, housing for 42 women who will live in self-contained apartment units at 314 Booth Street. Twenty units will be available for low-income seniors and 22 are for younger women, with a range of health and support needs.
